From my understanding Ontario ND cannot prescribe scripts, apparently it's being worked on but not to the same degree as BC. Dr here fear that NDs do not have enough drug knowledgs...as my dr prescribed Antibiotics for a parasite infection hmmm. I've have seen so many dr and specialists, one just told me out right "I can't help you, I don't know what is causing it". It was not what he said , but that look on his face when he said it, said it all " go away, too much trouble". Imagine they have the power to turn you away, deny you referrals, blame you because the tests come out negative or because they keep choosing the wrong tests to begin with. One of my major issues was the pain on my right side, many all they could say was kidney stones/gall stones, when u/s and ct showed negative, then it's just muscle pain. I know what muscle pain is and this was not it. Does it really matter? They can bill the govt the same amount weather they treat you or not, spend 5min or 30min. A person who is very sick, is too much work, asks to many questions, takes up too much time..a patient that speaks up, well that is just a taboo, cause you cannot challenge their ego or education. I am trying the pharma route now, but the first set of meds are held up in customs, who knows if they will release or not, they have been stuck there for two weeks, but i will not let that discourage me, I will try again. We have too!
