Blood in spit after pulling - is this bad?

Hello there - I did my first oil pulling experiment last night, using olive oil, as I am allergic to coconut and sesame. It was pleasant and I swished for 15 moinutes - and spit out the expected thin whitinsh oil - but the second spit I did was pinkish/reddish, leading me to belive my gums had bled a bit in the process - or perhaps some nasal discharge? They also bled a bit when I brushed my teeth afterward, which is not a usual occurance for me as I have never been diagnosed as having gum issues. Anyhow, has anyone else had a similar experience? It definately scared me a bit, but I don't want to quit! Any thoughts are greatly appreciated, as I have not found ANY information online suggesting this a a possible reaction to pulling.
