Not once have I ever wondered whether his wife and daughters still have their clitorises. Never has my curiosity been aroused about them, like it is every time I see a woman walking by her husband, hiding beneath her fabric. I wonder if those religious husbands and wives so openly proud of their sexua| humility, are aware that those of us who have no shame, are immediately filled with concern and compassion about whether or not a women's genitals have been mutilated, and she might be in pain. A veil will prevent people from seeing a woman's face and hair and body. But it cannot prevent anyone from sending love and healing energy to her clitoris, just in case she needs it.
