Re: Just curious..any one tried water fasting to rid parasites?
I’m not disagreeing with sd2345, but I recently read a book I purchased thru Amazon (Water Fasting: A Comprehensive Guide & 40-Day
Water Fast Personal Journal, by Jennifer Thompson). I paid too much for the book ($20), which was really Jennifer’s personal journal, but it turned out to be really riveting. On the 8th day of her
Water Fast she started passing worms. She was shocked, had no idea, and it motivated her to continue her fast longer than she had initially intended. She fasted 40 days and expelled worms almost daily right up until the end. I should mention she was giving herself daily enemas (most experts don’t recommend doing that, but that’s what she did). She described how the worms grew thinner and thinner as time went on because they were being starved. After she ended her fast she took on a
parasite cleanse to ensure she got all the little buggers and any residual eggs. Anyway, her story would seem to suggest that
Water Fasting can indeed kill parasites. I guess you could argue that just because she was flushing
parasites out with water doesn’t mean the fast was killing them, but she did describe how emaciated they were becoming day by day. She was giving herself enemas from day one, but they didn’t start flushing out till day 8, so it seems that the fast weakened them sufficiently so that they couldn’t ‘hold on’. And I don’t know what would have happened with the
parasite issue had she not been giving herself enemas (would they have withered but survived?). Anyway, just putting that out there. I guess it can be interpreted in more than one way.
