A question on making comfrey tea

Hello, MH and anybody else who would like to answer who has had the experience.

I've read about using fresh comfrey leaves to make a pack for the OUTSIDE of the body. One fourth a cup of fresh leaves, but I'm not sure how strong to make it. Or if that matters. Also read another recipie that says to use a TBSP of dry comfrey leaves to use as a tea. I am using this and the BF&C capsules to help heal up some neck discs along with chiropractic treatment that keeps the vertebrae aligned. With all the work I've done trying to get my body clean, I should be able to do this without many problems. I've had degenerative disc disease in the past.

Do I have to dry the leaves to make a tea? I know not all herbs are alike. Some do have to be dried and aged. Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question. I'm asking it anyway. ;-)))

I've got comfrey growing on the property
