Is it possible to be THIS iodine deficient?

Is this a sign that im super Iodine deficient?

Following the suggestion of my ENT, i started a low sodium diet about a year ago and starting this January, i started only eating foods that i cooked myself and cut out any processed foods whatsoever.

It wasn't until i discovered this forum and the importance of iodine, that i realized i have not been getting any salt or Iodine in my diet. Out of habit, i did not use any salt when cooking. Not eating any processed or outside foods either, I essentially was not getting any salt.

After discovering this forum, i started adding salt with every meal I ate and would add pink Himalayan salt to one meal a day. The plan was to slowly build my salt intake back up so that I can take Lugol (which is coming in the mail).

I noticed that since taking the regular salt and the himalayan salt, ive been having aches in both my kidneys (upper/mid back). I also noticed that every time i eat a meal with the himalayan salt, i would become extremely weak, lethargic, spacey, drowsy, and feel hot afterwards, which I read are detox symptoms of iodine. I had more pink salt than usual for lunch today, and experienced the same symptoms. About an hour after eating, I was really hot and broke out in sweats for 5 minutes.

I guess my question is, is it possible for me to be so deficient in Iodine that my body is reacting/detoxing from even the small amounts of iodine im getting from the salt? I do notice the pressure/headache near my third eye getting slightly better since i started. If so, how should I proceed in anticipation for the lugols? If not, what else can it be?

Im currently taking 1000mg of ester c and 200mcg of selenium. I havent started the others as i was just trying to build up the salt in my body first so i didnt think i would need it. I also started drinking bottled reverse osmosis water around the same time until i find a good filter/distiller.

Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!
