unexplained small scratch/tear-like marks, swellings, and red, inflamed looking spots on right hand/wrist with itching

The last few weeks [during which I have been under extreme stress due to a loved one's illness and due to other concerns] my goiter has gotten larger especially on the right. Lately and for the first time it is sometimes a little uncomfortable and it sounds to me like it is beginning to impact my voice a little. So I upped my daily Iodoral to 100 from 50 and reluctantly made an appointment with an endocrinologist for middle of next month. And I became very afraid.

After a couple of days on the higher Iodoral dose, a half teaspoon sized clump of extremely dry yellow/white mottled ear wax spontaneously emerged from my right ear and a little less, a little more normal looking, from my left ear. Then my right medial upper arm and lateral right breast became uncomfortable. A day or so later the breast/upper arm discomfort mostly subsided and my right elbow area itched fiercely for 24 hours for no apparent reason. Then that got better and my right hand and wrist began looking scratched and inflamed with tiny marks looking like cuts or tears in the skin, much as if I had been weeding and had gotten into brambles, though no such thing happened and I have not contacted anything unusual as far as I can recall, that I might be allergic to. Can anyone offer insight into what may be going on with my body and if this means that the higher dose of Iodoral is more apt to be causing a problem or solving one? Tweet
