In contrast, 95% of the herbs used in commercial herbal formulas you find in stores come from third world countries or areas such as India, Egypt, China, Eastern Europe and the like that still use tons of DDT, cancer-causing insecticides and toxic chemical fertilizers. The water in these countries often makes you sick. Why would you want to consume these herbs? To make matters worse, imported herbs are normally irradiated or sterilized with toxic gas in order to decontaminate them of insects and germs commonly found in shipments from such places. The US Government is very efficient in seeing that these toxic "solutions" are used on commercially imported herbs!

Even Organic Herbs can be mis-handled to lose their valuable properties. The natural oils of the plants often contain their healing essences. These oils are often lost in the machine-driven industrial mass production techniques used by most manufacturers. The result: capsules full of dried herbal fiber with very low potency.
