the "jitters"

Two years ago, my wife, 54, began taking your sski because she had general hypothyroid symptoms (fatigue, low energy, etc.) and ovarian cysts. Initially she took 6 drops per day for four months, then decreased to two drops per day ,faithfully, ever since. The iodine supplementation worked wonders (for me also!) until recently. About a month ago, we did some traveling and she only took the sski rarely. When we returned two weeks ago, she resumed the two drops per day and, within a few days, her resting heart rate increased from the high 60's to the high 80's - high 90's. She is also experiencing "the jitters" especially in her legs and upper chest. After a week of this, she stopped using the sski, but the above symptoms continue. Why would this happen and is there cause for concern?
