Back to the egg shells:

Place the dried crush shells in the pestle grind with mortar.
When you have a fine powder place in cup with FRESH lemon juice.

If you are worried about Mg use dolomite with lemon juice as above. And a pinch of Epsom Salts on each meal.

I have used all these for a long time.

"What actually happens in your body" depends on what you do to your body. And that depends on your gut health to a marked degree. Eating a variety of cultured foods with a strongly plant based diet, some raw, will go a long way to resolving
vitamin imbalances and any nutrient uptake issues.
