Just stop if you need a break to get on top of a detox episode that won't calm down any other way. My preference, though, is not to do a salt push at all, but to take salt daily, so I can figure out what amount of salted water my body likes. That being said, it's alarming that your blood pressure is rising so high; that really isn't good. DH is one who is very sensitive to salt with his blood pressure, and had to limit using extra amounts of it to just the times when detox was overwhelming. Even then, he did best using half salt, half potassium chloride, as it's the chloride part that's doing the work and his body loves getting lots of potassium.
