Re: Davy

Well. My first voice teacher told us to eat banana and peanut butter before singing. Pretty much a command. So that we wouldn't have low blood sugar, but also would have something to "push" on in our stomach (a little resistane for the diaphragm maybe) and so we wouldn't be too full with something heavy or rich. Plus it isn't particularly mucous forming, nor is it stripping the chord. I don't want to eat anything too light, like just fruit.

My second teacher didn't have any recommendations. I stuck with the peanut butter and banana but later changed the peanut butter to almond butter since it's healthier, and I like it better anyway.
I find that 45 minutes is about right, somewhere in the 30 min - 1 hour range, so that I won't have an empty stomach, but I won't have it stuck in my throat, either.

I don't know... it just works for me. I couldn't really think of any better pre-concert food. What do you think is a good pre-concert meal?
