You've probably seen this before, so just a reminder that it's the Chloride portion that does the work of ushering bromide out the kidneys. That means that you can use potassium chloride instead of or together with sodium chloride. I use just sodium chloride, hubby uses a combo with more potassium than sodium, and I'd bet there are some who've used only potassium chloride if they get enough salt with their food. Just saying, you have choices with your mom.
