Yes, from what I read it would effect our emotional bodies and it sounds like you went through quite a lot!
Lately I've been expecting myself to be a robot, checking off a million things to do everyday, but there is a LOT going on in the cosmos that we are most often not aware of.
One day I can pull it off, and then the next three out of no where I just can't seem to focus.
Right now, earthing and staying with nature is the best way to fight bad energies. Birds, butterflies, beautiful flowers, insects are all nice reconnectors. If anyone is having a hard time right now, it would be a great advantage for healing to find a nice wooded path where they could find some relief. Of course, if you're close to water, walking on the beach and swimming are great for grounding as well.
Oh, the dilating drugs! My bf took those recently and I had to make sure he didn't bump into anything for a few hours. I don't remember side effects, but not being able to see 6 feet in front of you would definitely ruin that part of my day ;)
