Re: So many sick, overweight, dieing people
Hi!
I have to comment on what you guys are saying. I don´t live in the USA but my brother does. He does all his shopping in the places where they sell organic foods, some Farmers Market or something. I first went to the USA about 20 years ago and even then I hated the food. Everything was junk food, nothing tasted of anything, I mean, I would buy an apple or a tomato and they both tasted the same...WATER! My son wanted toast so we bought some sliced bread. We were shocked to find that it was sweet, packed with loads of sugar!! Everything had added chemicals! Since then I have been back to the USA a few times to visit my brother but the food gets worse each time, it doesn´t matter if you go to a restaurant, even a salad is tasteless and they provide you with sauces and condiments so at least the food tastes of something!
In England, things are slowly becoming as bad as in the USA. Obesity is a big problem, though you can still find good places to shop and eat. But I made the best decision, I moved to Spain. Here you find that fruit and veg can still be bought in the markets that come to your town once or twice a week, home grown produce in its funny shapes and sizes which tastes like it should. Just picking up a lettuce, rinsing it and sprinkling some salt on it and eating it on its own. Its fresh, its juicy and it doesn´t go mouldy if its not kept in the fridge.(within reason). If you are a meat eater, the meat from the north of Spain is from cows which roam on pastures, which aren´t fed chemical feeds. The meat doesn´t lose water or shrink when you cook it. Last year I went to Ireland for the first time,( my other half is Irish) and what a pleasnt surprise I had. If you still enjoy traditional home cooked wholesome food, well, thats the place to go. Again, they have fresh veg and the meat is what you might call organic because the cows, sheep and pigs are out grazing all year round. The fish is excellent, and the brown organic bread and butter is out of this world! The only problem is it sure rains a lot, which is why I chose to live in Spain.
Well folks, I hope you will get the chance to venture abroad one day and try all these beautiful foods, because I have to agree with you, the food in the USA SUCKS!
