When did you do your 21 day fast? how long ago before you started this one? I have tried to fast before for weight loss/fat loss. Good job on 23 days!!! I only had 15lb to loose. I can say that choosing fasting for just fat loss is not such a great idea. When you fast your metabolism slows down dramatically. Yes, you loose weight, and fast BUT as soon as you will start eating you will be gaining it back, and unfortunately you can't fast forever. Obviously going from 0 calories a day to 1200 a day will make you gain more fat or even MORE on top of that. Even if you go gradually up with the calories after a fast you will still be gaining it back slowly, and on top of that you will have a malnutrition all those following days because you're obviously no eating enough for your body anyways. So what i did i cut Sugar completely out, and bad starches. Basically i started a Paleo diet. Lots of veggies, fruits, protein...and light exercise. In 3 weeks i lost 10lb!! Just by changing my diet. Then in another 2 weeks 7lb...! and it was actual fat because i even starting seeing muscle definition. The bottom line fasting is great for spiritual reason or maybe to cure some decease but if you're initial goal just fat loss it's not such a great plan. Talking from my experience. Problem with most people including myself, that it is hard to stick to the right diet. It takes time and patience. It needs to be a lifestyle rather than a diet...and that's what hard to control especially when people that surround you (friends, familY) dont really try to eat healthier, and you always have wrong foods around you.
So there' s a lot of factors to why you haven't lost as much weight... it's all about calories in and calories out, and mostly your BMR.
