A couple of other things that can really get the bowels going, and are typically healthy, to boot:
1) Magnesium (more than whatever she is taking).
2) Vitamin C. I use a buffered ascorbate powder. Best first thing in am, mix 1 tsp in a cup of water, and drink- repeat every 15 minutes. After a few reps, this will get bowel moving! (Stop at the point when you have water coming out the rectum.) Count the number of teaspoons it took to get to this watery stool point, and then you can take 3/4 of that dose daily (spread out through day is best). This (first part) is known as a "vitamin C flush." You may be able to get more specific info if you google it, or feel free to email me for more details.
