Re: Need advice with candida overgrowth and dr christopher's anti candida program

What would be the optimal way to treat candida? What would you do? I'm trying everything. You seem like you are super smart! I've read many of ur posts but it's hard to get it down to a solution. You seem to believe that the best way is to just Increase gut flora? So just kefir and simple vegetable diet?

Kefirs and other cultured foods would be a great start since it is the acidity that turns off the Candida growth gene and keeps it in a yeast form rather than a dangerous fungal form.

And yes, sources of fiber to feed the flora.  The only fibers I do not like really are psyllium and other hard fibers like wheat bran.  My personal favorites are rice bran and oat bran.  Both are soft fibers and rich in B vitamins.  Unstabilized rice bran is also high in gamma oryzanol and octacosanol, both which have beneficial properties.

Vegetable gums or inulin sources like Jerusalem artichoke are also excellent for stimulating the flora.

Yucca root powder can be taken with these to help control the Candida, fermentation, inflammation and to support the flora.  As a strong surfactant it should also help reduce the biofilm.
