Going to bathroom = toxins being expelled. This is good. Sea Salt "flushes" do actually detox many things since the cells are now able to cleanse themselves and mobilize unwanted substances, so you may feel it in your liver and kidneys.
My rule of thumb is to carefully monitor overall health with any detox reactions, and also cut out known toxins that also tax the liver like coffee, sugar, alcohol, diary, bread, etc until your liver can catch up. My poor live has been through alot already with overdoing the booze when younger and mercury poisoning from Amalgams recently. :-P
If you start to feel really bad or get sick, then you have to back off for awhile. Making yourself sick does more harm than good, but there is always (in my experience) a short time of feeling crappy before you feel better. By short time I mean days, not weeks or months.
