I asked a friend of mine who is a MD and he said that low thyroid is not an issue at all. As for working out, I had to force myself because my brain was like "just play video-game its ok" but I got my ass up to push myself to workout. To tell you the truth what was really helpful was a book I read called "Outwitting the Devil: The Secret to Freedom and Success" by Napoleon Hill. This book had a profound affect on my life so I would suggest you read it to. I can give you a copy if you want so just PM me.
