I started Chantix the same time I started the fast...
I started the chantix so I guess I've only been taking it for the same amount of time as my fast (10 days now I'm guessing). I've used it before and after 3 days, I no longer want a cigarette but I still take the Chantix as maintenance so the urge doesn't come back. I will stop taking them... Haven't had one today and I haven't smoked in a week so let's see.
I definitely don't want to die and I've read this board quite a bit and for quite a while... Maybe a year... So I DO know when "chrisb1"speaks, you better listen. Your knowledge is powerful here and thanks so much for letting me know.
I have one more question... Well, I will probably have more but for now my question is about hair loss. My hair is long and blonde. If I do this for 40 days... Is that too long? My hair is going to fall out isn't it? Should I break this fast up with a few days of juice or green smoothies? I read a lot last night and came across this hairloss thing and I'm now horrified that it might happen to me. I know it doesn't happen to everyone but let's just say that I AM one that it would happen to.... What can I do NOW to prevent it? I know it only happens on the extended fasts. I know it didn't happen to you, I did read some of your posts about it but I didn't see anything that said, try this or this. I REALLY want to accomplish the 40 days but not at the cost of my hair falling out. My menstrual cycle has also stopped.
This is the first time I've done a fast.... Well, I did make it 5 days one time months ago but I don't know... I felt like I knew what I was doing.
I'll say this... I really do not want to stop this fast because to me, I feel like I can make it all the way... But I'm willing to bring in a few days of juice or smoothies or whatever you advise.
Thanks and sorry for the long post.
