Re: Nodules on thigh muscle....any ideas?

Hello...
I suspect some sort of schistosome. I had a knot in quadracept the size of a walnut. I had another knot under a shoulder blade that my massage therapist pointed out. The origin of my problems was a tick bite on my forearm where a nodule later popped up. About the size of a pencil eraser.
Have you ever noticed livestock, perhaps a horse or a cow, with a wound or open sore on their neck? Have you noticed how flies gravitate to that sore?
Well, after my tick bite, I noticed a couple of different insects bite me on that nodule. It wasn't an open sore, but on seperate occaisions I saw a black fly. a green fly, and a box elder (or kissing bug) bite me on that spot. The reason I noticed was that I never get bitten. Not by mosquitoes or anything.
My symptoms most resemble Chagas disease.

So as for the praziquantel, with the very first dose I took, I felt a stinging sensation in the nodule in my thigh muscle, the one under my shoulder blade, and the original tick bite on my forearm.

All of them were gone within a couple of days...

Check into schistisomiasis. See if any of the symptoms resemble what you have going on.
To detect it, it requires a blood test between 12-2:00am I believe. Even that doesn't always detect them.

Let me know what you think!
