Day 6/60 Completed! I feel Great!
Well it looks like another day goes in the books. I feel really good. Today, my neighbor was making a few nachos and it did drive me a bit crazy. The smell of the nacho cheese itself almost made me want to smash the microwave.
What I have noticed is that if I stand up to fast or stretch out, I get a bit dizzy and have to lie down. Also, I noticed that my armpits smell like meat and fruit. It's the craziest thing I have noticed thus far.
One thing I forgot to mention in yesterday's post was that I have a molar that broke just below the gum line and is brown and black on the inside. I know that the pulp is decaying and I did experience a great deal of pain during my last meal. I clearly remember that I ate some ice cream and a sandwich. Within a few minutes it felt as though a friggin' thunderbolt hit me in the face. The pain went into my lower jaw and throbbed for about 2 hours straight before calming down.
Since I started the fast, there is absolutely no pain and I am really excited to see what my body decides to do with it. In an article I ready by Dr. Stanely Bass,
http://drbass.com/firstfast.html, he stated that he had a dead tooth which was literally pushed out after about 13 to 18 days of fasting. He said that the dentists could not believe it. I am fully confident that my tooth will be taken care of during this fast.
Also, last night for some unknown reason I was sneezing like a mad man. My nose was stuffed and leaking. I felt as if I had a cold. I had an old shirt nearby because my nose would not stop leaking. I was barely able to fall asleep. However, when I woke up this morning, I felt fresh and brand new. I did sneeze a few times throughout today, but nothing compared to last night. I know I am still in the early phases of the fast, but perhaps these are detox symptoms.
So, I am off to finish some work and go to bed. These dreams about candy are driving me nuts. Usually I would have broken the fast and stuffed myself. All I do is look back on my calendar on the progress I have made thus far, and I get an instant boost of confidence to keep it going.
Thanks for reading this, and look out for tomorrow's post.
Cheers,
D
