Up until this season, there was no such thing as a "GMO sweet corn"...only 'corn products' (like you mentioned, and more like corn solids, ground corn, corn syrup, corn starch, etc) were GM, because they hadn't managed to mutate 'sweet corn' to be palatable. But this year there *IS* Genetically-Modified-Organisms sweet corn....and so 'corn on the cob' (and frozen/canned corn that looks like corn) is something else we must avoid. Certified organic, or Certified Genetically-Modified free only.
Unless there's some type of crisis in my world, I *never* buy non-organic fruits, veggies, grains or prepared food/blends (and since GMs cannot be labeled certified organic, I'm as safe as any of us can be with those).
When we first started learning & researching about natural health & healing, the very FIRST thing we did was to eliminate all toxins & poisons from our diet. For starters, we didn't worry about what kind/type of food we were eating, only that it was poison-free.
Yep, I *love* organic tortilla chips! - that's one spot on the pantry shelf that's never empty! :)
