My co-workers will say, one minute you're eating like a monk and the next minute chowing on a Sub sandwich and a bag of chips - which is it?!
Well, it IS what it IS, unfortunately, sometimes. That's why I don't 'preach' anything. I make it clear that I 'share' my knowledge, and allow people to see my 'struggles'.
At home, I eat WAY better than I do while out at work - particularly as I work in 7 locations and they change me often at the last minute, so I do have to grab whatever's available often and just try to do the best with what I have, and also whatever is affordable (that being WAY more important than I would like).
Yeah, I tried doing without the coffee and it wasn't pretty - LOL. I figure I don't have any vices, so it's not too bad and could be worse - and especially not having any beer (or any alcohol at all for that matter), I want my one enjoyment.
I do love cooking in my big cast iron pots, so good soups and stews (year round) seem to work best for me, along with salads.
And, I'm LOVING the Amasai, so will incorporate that one gladly. This summer, I'm planning on doing some cultured veggies. I have Donna Gates' book, BodyEcology and it just makes sense. Her recipes are really good, too, and simple.
