Bladder issues

I hope someone on here can help me. I've been to my doctor probably a hundred times and my urologist in the past year and a half and both of them have no clue.

It started with uti symptoms after intercourse a year and a half ago. The feeling of having to pee and nothing comes out. I was on vacation with my fiance so I waited to go to the doctor upon returning home. He told me 'bladder infection', cultured my urine and gave me Antibiotics . Turned out no infection was found. I had apx. 20 urine cultures in the past year and out of all of them, 1 they found bacteria. And the only reason for it was because they forgot about it and let it culture longer then normal.

The pain in my bladder area 'wrapped' around my lower back and was excruciating. The urine frequency seemed to only increase at night. I always had these stabbing or pinching feelings in my bladder.

I started on a daily dose of natural Antibiotic type things given to me by my naturopathic doctor. The pain lessoned until only the 'pinching' feeling remained. It's still there. I've tried everything I can think of to kill bacteria .. I know there is SOMETHING in my bladder because the natural stuff (garlic, uvi ursi, Sea Salt ) all takes the pain away.

I now deal with this on my own, without my doctor. Around my period or after intercourse sometimes it flares and the pain returns and I can't sleep at night. It's so awful and I am at a loss of what to do next.

Also, L lysine seems to lesson the symptoms. I started taking it for cold sores and realized if I take high doses I feel better. I've been tested for STD's (negative) so this is a mystery.

Does someone have insight?!? Now I am thinking yeast which could have got up in my bladder from intercourse? Yeast would be un-detectable in a urine test.

I don't know.

Thank-you for any replies.
