I'm not sure about the different forms of Hypoglycemia either.
I always thought HypoG is when your pancreas secretes too much insulin, bringing your blood Sugar too far down and that's why you get cold, cranky, dizzy and headaches, etc.
I also figure if your symptoms don't improve by bettering your diet, it might be something other than HypoG.
This is why I suggest getting a glucose meter and checking your blood Sugar throughout the day for a couple of days and report the results back to your doctor just to make sure you haven't been misdiagnosed.
It's a relatively cheap and painless way to make double sure of your diagnosis.
