Thank you for your reply. "Food", as you describe it, is a combination of chemicals. The question I've been asking is, why should I choose the combination of chemicals in cilantro and chlorella over ALA which the body naturally has in it every day and which has been fairly well tested by science.
There are many more related questions when we are choosing to use an herbal solution as medicine for a serious medical problem--what are safe and effective doses, how frequently is it safe to use it, what are the contraindications for use when a person has many medical problems, etc?
