"Exhaustion was more like the collapse on the couch with no will to get anything done-type. Funny you mention hiking because I hike a lot. But it would throw me into a tailspin, I suspect adrenal issues were involved as well."

We seem to be similar but I'm not like most Hg toxic folks, probably because I have more of a cadmium and lead problem than Hg. I'm hair test #354. My recent tests while chelating showed either red-high Cd or red-high lead.

That "exhaustion" sounds more like what I experience. Cutler describes "catecholamine depression" in the long post at the following link.
http://onibasu.com/archives/fdc/15287.html

The catecholamine neurotransmitters are made from tyrosine. The lack of dopamine is associated with ADD. ( have inattentive ADD.) If you can identify with the ADD symptoms, you should consider getting checked for cadmium. It seems that most folks who have hi-norm or higher Cd also have ADD or Cat. Depression symptoms.

The lack of another cat. neurotransmitter, norepinephrine seems to be associated with lethargy and what you seem to describe. (cat. depression?)

I also don't do well when I physically exert myself while on round. I'm fine while off round but was not before I started taking a pile of supplements, including generous amounts of minerals. I have not been exercising much since I started chelating because I used to exercise on the weekends. Now I chelate on most weekends.

I agree that it is probably adrenal-related.

In the yahoo groups we don't hear about really nasty sfx when folks just used chlorella; however Cutler says he's come across some people who got bad batches of it containing arsenic or bismuth. It is the cilantro, IV and large infrequent dose DMSA--challenge tests--that seem to cause most of the nasty reactions in folks.

Good luck to you.

Joe
