Re: Hi - Day 29 of fast, questions :)

Hi La Surrealiste,

I hereby echo Chiron's sentiments.  What a great accomplishment to reach 29+ days and especially at the age of 18.

"Do what your heart tells you. if possible, make the "breakfast" ( whatever time it is) a moment when you feel "good". That is, not sick, or sickened by smells. It makes the world of difference."

I completely agree with Chiron here too... break feeling good wherever possible and you will be rewarded with a much swifter return to nice energy levels, strength and overall vitality, possibly the very day you break your fast.  Breaking feeling icky will likely lead to a long process of feeling lousy and weak before you finally feel better.

In my own experiences the right day to break was never based on a multiple of 7, though for Chiron this could indeed be the way it works.  In my most recent long fast i came through nausea and felt good enough to break at 36.5 days  where at 35 days i was mid-nausea.  In another fast i encountered genuine hunger at 29.67 days, so breaking at 28 would have been a crime against nature, humanity and all that there is :p.

Coconut water sounds great, especially since it has always agreed with you so well.  I also believe that any other juices you desire would be a good choice in addition.  Preferably they will be organic, fresh juiced by you, mostly raw and some can be heated/cooked as in a nice hearty juice soup.

Depending on how you feel you will probably ideally want to juice (including coconut water) about a day for every 4 days of water only.  So if you emerged from the nausea and felt pretty good at lets say 32 days and wanted to break it there, you would likely do well to juice for about 8 days (give or take) before moving into mostly raw fruits and veg, probably for 8 or 10 additional days (give or take) before adding other healthy foods which would coincide very nicely with Christmas.
