Re: Is it Lyme disease or parasites?
Classic sign of some sort of infection - I would start with a
parasite test from Metametrix (panel #2105) and see what pops up on that - if you have been experiencing any gastro issues since the onset, I would definitely suspect gi infections which could be worms, protozoa, fungal, rogue bacteria or viral. The MM test will help sort that out. As an experienced poster, I would suggest to you that self diagnosis can be a frustrating path which can lead to more struggles, best to get good testing done first. If the tests come back negative then reconsider treating yourself. I have seen way too many people who do not have the experience in these matters waste their time, money and effort chasing things they do not have.
If not GI then there can be a whole host of pathogens that could cause this including lyme, rocky mountain spotted fever, mycoplasma and the list goes on. I would seek out a qualified and I underline qualified doctor who is well versed on these issues and would not leave it up to general practitioners or even the average infectious disease doctor.
Our forum is getting very good results with a lactoferrin protocol that may well be helpful for you

this appears to be effective against a wide range of pathogens and not just GI ones.
