...there's virtually nothing in this world (politics, religion, banking, medicine, government, you name it), that isn't "fixed" in some way or another.
My dad was a HS sports coach, and always has been a Cardinal fan. I spent many-a-happy day at Busch Stadium with my family when I was young. I know now that pro sports is no different than anything else...but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy watching it/them occasionally, and feel real joy when the winners are celebrating and experiencing their 'dreams coming true' - even if they don't know they really are just illusions. Of course, some of them "know", too.
Hey, I'm an American - it was the World Series - "my team" was in it...so even though I'd been ignoring it, after I heard the details of the 6th game, I took a couple of hours off, made a "bbq pizza" (homemade bbq sauce, pulled pork, pineapple, sauerkraut, mushrooms, mozzarella & pecorino sardo...ALL organic ingredients) - and Rocky n' me split a 'black & tan' (first we'd had this year) and watched the last few innings.
Shoot me now - I'm guilty of enjoying the memory of something that was once a wonderful part of my life.
And yep, thanks for sharing the truth so those that don't know it have a chance to learn :)
