I'm sorry to say that there seems to be a lot of ignorance about chelating among health care professionals. I definitely recommend taking chelators every 3 or 4 hours, including at least once in the middle of the night. Otherwise, you are likely just stirring heavy metals up without effectively removing them.

I usually chelate for 3 days to a week before taking a break for a similar number of days. You can do it for as long as you feel OK with it, but it's good to take the occasional break to give your body a chance to replenish its natural chelators and nutrients lost during chelating.
