What is a lesion, before it's a lesion..

Attempting to get clues as to what the
"terrain" is like just before the "lets make a lesion"
trigger is pulled.

Most of the external mOrg activity is happening at the that's where I am poking around..see what I can

Inflamed hair follicles are easy to find. Vigorous
combing with a steel "flea comb"..rinse in glass of
water to extract the tiniest bits..[large bits are
distressingly easy to find, not what I am fishing for on
THIS expedition.]

One the very small bits are in the water, I added just a few drops of methylene blue to get a bit of contrast going
among the transparent particles. They are not all made of exactly the same stuff, as revealed by the stain.
Methylene blue is a cationic dye ["+"], so it is attracted
to negative charges, and will turn it a blue color.
[unlike charges attract]
Alkaline "tissue" is a proton acceptor,[negative charge] so it is attracted to the methylene blue.
[Acidic "tissue" would tend to be a proton donor [+ charge] and would not attract/hold the blue stain.
[like charges repel]

Since much of the transparent particles and the fibers
take on the blue stain, it appears that they are alkaline
in nature. Not all of the transparent particles seem to be
attracted to the stain; some of the clear particles remain
clear. This seems to indicate that not all of the clear particles are made of exactly the same material.
