I drink coffee everyday. It definitely effects me a little more intensely so I try to keep it to one cup. I wouldn't recommend it if your feeling really ill though. It's not good for your Gi tract and colon. I only started with it again because my problems don't really lie in my intestine. Most people say to run away from coffee altogether. I honestly don't think it's that awful for you.
I recommend trying some rooibos tea. I've found a brand with ginseng that offers a terrific pick me up. Also rooibos is just really tasty!
