Re: Question about sorghum syrup

I have the opportunity to purchase sorghum syrup made by a local Amish farmer.
GREAT

As his supply is limited,
SURE

I would like to purchase all I can now before he runs out but am wondering how long it will keep unrefrigerated/refrigerated.
IF MADE "PROPER", IT MAY LAST A VERY/VERY LONG TIME, SIMILAR LIKE "HONEY" AND CAN SUGAR......."IF" YOU ADD A FEW DROPS OF PURE OREGANO WHEN YOU FIRST GET IT AND KEEP THE LID CLOSED, ODDS ARE IT WOULD LAST FOREVER.

I would imagine you wouldn't want to refrigerate or freeze, but don't know.
IF YOU GET IT COLD, IT WILL TURN VER THICK.

IT ALL DEPENDS WHERE YOU LIVE, I TRIED KENTUCY SORGHUM AND IT IS ANIMAL QUALITY AND THOSE MAKING IT DON'T DO A GOOD JOB AT ALL....THERE ARE A HANDFUL IN OHIO, BUT RARELY MAKE MORE THAN THEY USE FOR THEM SELVES......THE COLDER STATES MAKE THE BEST, SO MID WEST AMISH IS THE PLACE TO ASK FOR.

MH
Thanks.
