I'd be uneasy, too, about giving my body more to handle when something is haywire. From my reading I understand that many Hashi's patients do okay as long as they take at least 200 mcg selenomethionine with their iodine. But sometimes a Hashi's patient just can't tolerate the iodine. I don't know enough to understand it (which means I haven't experienced it), but I can't believe it pays to stoke the inflammation, even when it's caused by a good element. Tread carefully, and talk with some Hashi's patients about the possibilities.
