That all sounds like some good logical thought! Especially about the OP being used as a more of a 'clear the way' rather than a truly 'cleaner'.
I've had quite a bit of experience with assisting folks with Candida; my research shows that for serious overgrowths, it's imperative to use a deep fiber 'digger'...as the critters LOVE to set up housekeeping (breeding grounds!) deep within the mucoid plaque and folds, pockets and diverticuli of the colon. In fact, most with a severe overgrowth, can't seem to beat it with anything UNTIL they do daily doses of psyllium that have been soaked in anti-fungal oils. (with or without bentonite).
However, it seems like Oxypowder might be a great start for those whom the Candida hasn't 'taken over' yet...and it would certainly be a good initial course.
