Re: This study proves my point! (edit)

actually you are the one who seems a bit confused about what half-life means. Half-life is not the time it takes the substance of disappear from the body, it is the time it takes for --50%-- of any substance to disappear from the body. So if the half-life of DMSA were four hours (as you claim) there would still be plenty left in your body 12 hours after taking it

andy actually claims the half-life of DMSA is between 35 and 40 minutes, which would mean it would disappear from your body in about four hours. seems like you should know this if you had read his book

So in the case of the child who was getting DMSA every six hours, according to Andy she should've got permanently worse.

But she didn't. Now,go on to Andy's forum right now and ask if he thinks it would be okay to take DMSA every six hours. of course he will tell you "no! don't do it!" and he will tell you you are risking making yourself permanently worse.

but guess what? You are correct in saying that this study does not prove andy wrong regarding frequent dosing. why? Because he's completely wrong on the half-life of DMSA.

He claims it's 35 to 40 minutes which would mean it would disappear from your body in 4 hours.

WRONG!

The half-life of DMSA is actually 2.5 to 3.5 hours, and there is still plenty left in your body even after seven or eight hours. as I have shown in this post here

//www.curezone.org/forums/fm.asp?i=1849789#i

that would mean dosing every six or seven hours, as they did with the child in the study, on DMSA should be just fine

but please answer two questions for me

1. Can you point out to me any single study where any human, any rat, any mouse got permanently worse because they did not stick to a three or four hour chelation schedule?

2. in the case of ALA, after three hours only 1.5 mg is left active in the body. (now that you understand how half-life works you can calculate it if you don't believe me). Wouldn't that mean that 98.5% of the mercury has redistributed after three hours? therefore shouldn't a person get permanently worse on the three-hour ALA dosing schedule?

3. Since the real half-life of DMSA is 2.5 to 3.5 hours, shouldn't a dosing schedule of every six or seven hours be just fine?

as for your personal little insults and barbs and attacks this time around I'm just going to let it slide. It's just typical behavior for anybody who dares to challenge andy or any of his followers. I guess you can't help it
