Newport copied me on some posts from Cutler that indicates he does not see a big problem with stainless steel ( or titanium or .... I forget the third most common material for prosthetic implants ).
The screws are in the knee and are part of an auto-graft reconstruction job. This was in the 90's and I remember being billed $500 a piece for these screws..... this was during the same era when hospitals billed 7 bucks a piece for regular tylenol. The heads of the screws are near the surface, apparently to make them easy to access if it is decided they need to come out, otherwise, as far as I know, they will stay inside my bones either forever OR until my bones decay to the point where the screws fall out.
At this point I intend to go full speed ahead with mercury chelation and will see how it goes.
