Top down government not democratic -Afghanistan, Iraq.

Top-down governance allows for corruption.

Real democracy comes from having local and regional governments elected, and then elect a president of the nation after those local governments are set up.

Maybe the local governments should appoint/nominate the potential leaders of the country, but not the other way around. Now, in Afghanistan elections this week, they are electing a president who will appoint the local officials to do the president's bidding.

Locals could nominate the national candidates.

Nominations are where the Conspiracy starts...
Who 'nominated' the leaders elected to power now in Afghnistan? - BushCo White house people, thats who!!! Afghans Hamid Karzai, for one, and in Iraq its that Alazawi [?] guy - an ex CIA agent!!!

Even in America, we could do better having local governments make decisions good for locals. otherwise we are stuck with elitism, cenral power [which is communism, right?]from having federal powers that are all powerfull.

Even the Dalia Lama says , when asked to coment on politics , that "local governments are good".

Jawg.
