Here's what I use: 1/2 baking soda and 1/2 Sea Salt . I grind up the salt with my mortar and pestle into a powder and mix with the soda. Otherwise the grains can be sharp. I keep it in a small container and dip a moistened tooth brush in. I mix small batches because it will tend to lump from dipping the damp brush in. Some people add peppermint essential oil for flavour but I have gotten used to it and find it refreshing and effective. When I use other pastes, I get sore gum spots and my gums tend to recede. When I just use this, my teeth are clean, no bad breath and strong healthy gums. Also reduces staining. So may be worth a try while you
are waiting for the other products. (Cheap too!)
