"Just curious if anyone knows what's going on in the body to require this extra water intake or if they've experienced this as well. "
Hi Jooklum,
Just my own theory based on the compilation of whatever i have read over the years... heavy concentrations of toxicity require dilution and the body will thus react to them by signaling thirst. This is often the reason people can not dry fast for very long and why dry fasting is generally considered to be a lot safer only once people have become relatively clean beforehand through water-only fasting and/or other measures. My best guess is that your body released something toxic (or a higher concentration of toxicity) on the 13th day and beyond... and this led to your increased thirst. Of course this assumes that your climate (temperature and humidity), time outside in the heat and level of exercise remained relatively constant and were thus not themselves the cause of increased thirst. What is going on with your thirst now a few days later? : )
