I don't really care much about it, but my wife has a sensitivity to carrots (among several other foods) and is very concerned about cross-contamination. I also have problems with some foods that are ok for her. Our kitchen in some ways resembles a kosher kitchen (two different sets of prep tools and small appliances).
I think she won't probably try any juices now, unless I buy another set of parts. I guess that means more juice for me!
BTW, I found that carrots go through easier if they aren't too thick. For the last few carrots I split the thick sections in half lengthwise with a knife first and they went through the Omega a lot easier. The skinny carrots self-feed rather nicely.
