Day 50 of Japanese treatment

ok, this is the 50th day since i started the treatment, see my old posts for details.

im just reporting how it is going for me, everything about my condition is written in my past posts.

it's going very very well. normal area (green area, i call it) is getting bigger. Ec is getting manageable, im not embarrassed to go out without a mask most of the time. for example, my current peeling cycle is 7 days, on day 1 to 4 and day 7 i can be out without a mask. its unnoticeable, unless someone stares at my bottom lip for a while.

it was really really hard not to put anything on my lip in the first few weeks.
but i noticed i was having more difficult time when i was using balms and ointments before this treatment started, cos it (or I) would peel every 2 days or so, and it was bit painful sometimes. and my lip wasn't looking well at all, red and raw in places, uneven, bleeding.. yes, i had the stress, i wondered when this cycle would stop.. layer after layer, it kept peeling.

now i'm stoked that im getting out of that nightmare day by day. i guess the first 2 months are the hardest, but after that 2 months, there will be a reward ! im already tasting part of it..

few months of hard time or suffer from EC forever, i took the plunge to go for the former. its well worth it. i was afraid that 2 months will be just wasted, being stuck indoors, not seeing anyone. but i have been working 5 days a week at part time job, and im getting another teaching job during summer, im getting back to record music.. time well spent. this summer IS the right time for me.
