Question-Water color Iodine?

I need to know if anyone is familiar with Mother Earth's Iodine 200 parts per million. I bought 8 oz bottle from Mother Earth, but it looks like water and tastes like water. Is this real Iodine? Did I buy something fake? I have been using Lugol's 5% for a long time and was looking to try other cheaper solutions...now I am skeptical.
