Yep your country is run by the corporations, no matter who is in government, that is plain to see. In my country, as well as the UK, this holds true to a certain degree, but not quite to the point of the US. It does matter in my country, and in the UK, whether there is a conservative or socialist government in power, particularly when it comes to giving corporations power and control.
The multinational corporations have too much power everywhere, and this is something that needs to be addressed, which in my country, and in the UK, will not happen at all, when a conservative government is in power.
While the world continues to follow the flawed principles of economics, both macro and micro, the status quo will remain, until the next crash, which in my opinion, and from my research, will come to a head at the end of next year.
We escaped much of the damage of the last GFC, in my country, because we had a socialist government in power, and banks and financial companies are heavily regulated. If we end up with a conservative government after our next election, it will be a whole different story, when the next collapse happens.
It will happen, because the wrong people have the bulk of the wealth and power, and the whole economic system is based on a flawed principle, and has been for the last 800 years. Which will be a bummer for the entire world.
