As far as I could understand from your post, you are a Christian because you acknowledge Jesus as the savior (but do you truly "TRUST FAITH" Him?...and do you "YEARN love" Him?

"Agape" love is the love that God has for each of us who have love for HIM ONLY, not love for PEOPLE/MAN "AND" HIM. We are to have decent human respect for each other. It is not just the love He has for US, it is the love we RETURN to Him because WE LOVE "HIM"....(IF in fact you DO LOVE HIM). There is a verse that tells us that He "yearns" for His new creation (we should also "yearn" for Him,.....a book can't teach us how to "yearn" for Him, does He take your breath away?).

I never said to my mother "Mom, because I live in another state, I'm going to send you a video of me being good to other people and loving THEM so that you can always play that video in order to remember how much I love YOU".

Common sense will tell you that you cannot prove/show your love to someone by being good to OTHER PEOPLE. Does a boyfriend show his girlfriend how much he loves her by being good to someone else?

Every one on earth was created by God at birth (in His image). As we grew up, we learned many bad habits,.....some choose to admire God's ways of peace and justice and return to Him (keep Him in remembrance) and some don't, but we were all initially created by Him and are His children (and we are not the judges of whether others deserve the gracious gifts from God, GOD is the decider of that, not US). All of the BRETHREN OF HUMANITY are our FELLOW HUMAN BEINGS ("BROTHERS" IN the creator's family),...they may not be "brethren in the brotherhood of Jesus", but we are to SHOW no PARTIALITY to anyone as a matter of devotion/faith (give NO special treatment to ANYONE in the practice of the faith)....

...well, I WAS going to quote scripture about showing partiality, but by not doing so I am showing you why I usually DO quote scripture (because people need to know what God is really saying to us.....INSTEAD OF all the rhetoric THAT IS TAUGHT to us....you'll learn...IF YOU CARE to, okay, I'll give you a hint, it's in the book of James).

ALSO, in scripture, "CORBAN" is the name for the practice of loving/honoring OTHER PEOPLE in order to show love TO GOD (it's what the Pharisees used to do).

Right is right and wrong is wrong, and never the t'wain shall meet......Do you mean that you don't know that there is a clear un-negotiated difference between right and wrong?...then I can't imagine why you would care anything about God (except that you just want to get whatever you can out of Him).

Except for retrieving the exact verse number and quote, I haven't read my bible in years (and very little before that). I was a broken hearted backslider for at least 15 years because of the common teachings that were taught to me. The book (scripture text) did not show me how to have the heartfelt RELATIONSHIP that I desired with my creator.
