Re: lugols solution
As far as I know there is no data to support the idea that painting
Lugol's will eradicate established scar tissue. There have been experiments done that show that painting
Lugol's prevents scar tissue from forming in the first place and there is also information out there that painting
Lugol's on keloid scars will eradicate them.
I can give you more info on any of this, let me know.
Iodine works on abnormal tissue. Scar tissue is normal. I'm not trying to dissuade you, BTW, just letting you know of the experiences others have had.
If you plan on painting lugol's, I hope that you can stay home! Your face will be orange and your skin may peel.

I also recall posts here in which people painted their faces, here's one:

I thought I would provide a testimonial - I've been supplementing with
Iodine for about 3 months and using
Iodine on my skin, now in the form of Wombat cream. The fact that it is in an oil emulsion probably helps 'hold' the
Iodine down (In Derry's article he covers the scars with plastic film). Well, there is definitely a difference there. The keloid-type scars are thinner, more level. And my face as a whole feels different. My pores are smaller, and although I'm getting zits, still AND those blister-type pimples, the bromide ones, there is no scarring AT ALL.
I gave myself a
Lugol facial about 3 weeks ago. My skin looked as though I had stuck my head in the oven for about 3 days, and then the leathery stuff came off to reveal much smoother pinkish skin underneath. In fact, I have had laser treatment (which cost me thousands!) and the result was very similar, without the tenderness, as the Iodine doesn't burn. I'm not suggesting anyone does it. my skin is thick and very resilient. and the 'facial' doesn't work on broken skin, as we have heard time and time again.
Has anyone treated their stretchmarks with Lugol? Any joy?
