Re: Was it really Jesus that Paul saw?

I think you are up too late, thinking too much. And that so am I. lol I guess that's what adrenal fatigue does.

First thing I thought of in response to this, is if Paul's writings aren't true, then how do we know any of the bible is true or not?

And did Jesus actually appear to Paul, or did Paul just hear Jesus's voice?

I don't really know on that. I had never thought about this until reading what all you said, but just briefly reading the account in Acts, I see it said this:

Acts 9:4
4: And he fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?"

Going down a little further, it says:

15: But the Lord said to him, "Go, for he is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name before the Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel;

If Paul's accounts aren't true, and we see that the scriptures say the Lord chose him for this really important role, then what do we conclude there?

I know a lot of people don't think Jesus's and Paul teachings line up, but I think it's just some misunderstandings about some things.

I think Catholicism teaches a lot of wrong doctrine, so I'm with you on being skeptical of it.

I guess that's all I got to say about that for now. Maybe someone else will have more to say on this?
